Description
Holly, Zebrawood, Macassar Ebony
COMMENTS: I saw this puzzle on Ishino's excellent site and thought it was interesting. While I was
browsing, I was playing around with a leftover matchbox from Oskar's Matchboxes that
I had fitted with a couple magnets to keep the drawer closed. Then it hit me! Make the
packing puzzle in a small format just like the Matchboxes puzzle! The result is a
pocket portable packing puzzle, beautifully made, which will not slide open and fall all
over the place thanks to the magnets. Furthermore, the box is two sided so that you
don't have to know the solution to transport it...the pieces pack rather easily into both
sides, and more difficultly in the solution side. Take your hobby on the road!
Construction of this puzzle is very nice, with shouldered joinery and bevels
everywhere. The combination of zebrawood, holly and ebony looks great. Fit is dead-
on, with the drawer fitting snugly into the box.
