Oskar van Deventer (inventor of Oskar’s Cube) designed this puzzle in Holland in 1985. He nearly always designs his puzzles in his head before completing detailed drawings for craftsmen to work from. He usually never makes the finished product himself.
This puzzle was originally made with 12 aluminium pieces but here Mr Puzzle has created a beautiful wooden version from Queensland Silver Ash. The unusual pattern in which the 4 x 4 x 4 pieces are offset makes it an extremely difficult puzzle. |
