A knock-off of Oskar van Deventer's 2x2x2 gear cube Gear Shift. In its default state, all eight pieces are linked together, making the puzzle trivial. However, when pulling on one of the three axis, the puzzle splits into two groups of four, making it possible to scramble the groups separately.
