Each of the cubes of the puzzle has an indentation on one face. The pieces are then arranged so that there is only one way to place all the balls on the inside of the puzzle to enable you to get them into the box with the lid seated. Burr Tools says there are six solutions, but this includes all the ways in which you could rotate the assembly into the box.
A cool second challenge involves finding the two remaining ways in which you can seat all seven balls on the top of the puzzle. |
