Description
This puzzle has a bit of a background...I first tried to make it about five years ago but made a mistake with the magnets and installed them incorrectly, ruining the puzzle at the last moment of production. Rookie mistake! I loved the concept and decided to revisit it with the added experience of five years putting magnets in the proper direction. Two Rings is a super unique idea; the rings must be manipulated such that they nest together. There is an easy solution and a difficult solution...I've added a trick to let you know which is which but you'll have to solve it to find out! Eleven max moves, lots of rotation required.
Construction of this puzzle is excellent, with shouldered joinery where necessary to avoid weak endgrain glue joints. The intersection of the two perpendicular sticks is reinforced with an ornate opposing grain triangle which was a fun way to strengthen the weakest point of the puzzle.
