Description
De Kas is a very challenging ten piece burr puzzle by Alfons Eyckmans. Four eight unit burr pieces interlock with two larger board pieces and four congruent smaller board burr pieces zig-zagging inbetween to make a very unique final shape. The design is in a similar style of Alfons' puzzles we have made in the past, specifically Spiral and Steps. With a level 24.2.2.2.2.2.2.2.4 disassembly alone is a tough task with a few dead ends towards the start.

The puzzle was made from a very nicely sourced board of Canarywood with great amount of figure and color tone. Paired with either dark Wenge or bright Padauak board pieces to give an excellent contrast. Fit and function are very good for a puzzle this complex, pieces must be properly aligned and no excessive force is needed.
