Karakuri 13th Idea Contest

Designed By:
Made By:
Category: Puzzle Box Sequential Discovery
Description
The Karakuri Chest was available to members in a lottery format in Summer 2021. The crafter describes the puzzle in the following manner, "This karakuri-box is based on a chest with double doors.

The doors seem to open, but they don't.

So, what do you do? Don't believe what you see.
The knobs are so small that opening and closing them requires a bit of dexterity.
There have been two previous chests of drawers in our idea contest.
The trick is completely different.."

The exterior of the puzzle measures approximately 138 x 104 x 73 mm with a secret space of 74 x 52 x 51 mm and 61 x 46 x 18 mm.

Crafted in Magnolia, Chanchin, Padoauk, Maple and Cherry.

The original idea by Makoto Imai and crafted by Hideaki Kawashima.
