The rotation of individual pieces in these unique packing puzzles is reminiscent of their high jump techniques. While I was recently playing with my STEFKA-FLOP, named after Stefka Kostadinova, I unexpectedly found a new solution. This is, of course, terrible, since every FLOP is supposed to have exactly one solution. But this new solution is so beautiful – not least because, just like with the FRITZ-FLOP, the opening can be compressed to exactly half of one of the square sides – that I don’t want to keep this experience from you.
